Unfortunately, a small number of unethical moving companies have made consumers cautious when dealing with moving companies. We pride ourselves on complying with all federal regulations for the moving industry. We transport interstate goods under household transportation tariff 400n, regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We encourage you to review the most objective and comprehensive information on selecting and dealing with moving companies from the official government website of Federal Motor Carrier Safety administration website below.
Remember, your local move will be based on an hourly rate. A few things that will help reduce your cost are:
Packing. Mover’s cartons are the best. Small cartons from liquor stores are good but they will increase the time spent loading and unloading. We have plenty of recycled material at half the price as new cartons. Have all cartons ready to go for when the movers show up. Write on the sides of the boxes as well as the top. This will help when the boxes are stacked at delivery. You will know what is in the bottom box without having to pick up all the ones on top.
Disassembly/Reassembly. If you have the capability to take apart beds, tables, cribs, please go ahead and do it. You could save yourself a half hour.
Upstairs/Downstairs. If you feel that all your items are packed and ready to be shipped. Feel free to bring anything upstairs or downstairs. Items /cartons on the ground floor make it very easy for our movers to use hand trucks to carry several items in one trip.
Overtime . Waterbury Moving pays all employees overtime rates on weekends and holidays and unfortunately we must pass on these overtime charges to its clients.
